On November 22, 2008 the Southern California Chapter of the Netherland-America Foundation, formerly the Dutch American Heritage Foundation, held its Dinner and Ball to celebrate the 17th annual Dutch American Heritage Day at the splendid California Club in The event honored Hendrika (Henny) Neys-Ubink by presenting her with the 2008 Dutch American Heritage Award and inducting her into the Dutch American Hall of Fame. Ms. Neys-Ubink is the 22nd honoree to be inducted into the Dutch American Hall of Fame. She is Co-Founder of the Netherlands American Cultural Heritage Organization, Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau, and an energetic volunteer whose far reaching works have resulted in her being referred to the “Dutch Social Worker of the Bay Area”.
