14th Annual Awards Dinner: Friday, April 17, 2009

The 14th NAF Awards Dinner took place on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. This annual dinner is the premier Dutch-American event in our nation's capital, celebrating Dutch-American heritage and friendship. By conferring Awards named after recent Ambassadors of the United States to the Netherlands, the dinner honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to furthering and enhancing business and cultural relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador K. Terry Dornbush Award was presented to John A. Fentener van Vlissingen, Chairman, BCD Holdings; the Ambassador J. William Middendorf II Award to Albert P.L. Stroucken, Chairman, Owens-Illinois, Inc. and the Ambassador C. Howard Wilkins Jr. Award to Arkadi Kuhlmann, Chairman, ING DIRECT. Her Excellency Renée Jones-Bos, Ambassador of the Netherlands to the United States, served as Honorary Chair of the Dinner, with Bill Tucker, Esq. serving as Dinner Chair.
